Join the Medical Imaging team at Launceston General Hospital as a Senior Specialist Sonographer, providing advanced clinical expertise and leadership within the Ultrasound Service. This role supports service quality, staff development, and patient‐centred care in a dynamic public hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate and oversee the daily function of the sonography department, including training, workload management and rostering.
* Maintain high standards of protocol management and infection control to align with current accreditation processes.
* Provide clinical leadership and mentorship within a multi‐disciplinary team of sonographers and trainees.
* Support service quality initiatives and promote patient‐centred care.
Essential Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification or program of study approved by the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry.
* Accredited with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry; if also practising as a radiographer, registered with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia.
* Registered with the Australian Sonographers Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
Desirable Experience
* Minimum of five years post‐graduate experience in ultrasound.
* Previous clinical experience within an ultrasound service in a public hospital.
