We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join a leading aged care organisation on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional with strong aged care industry knowledge to make a meaningful contribution to an organisation dedicated to the wellbeing of its residents and community.
You will play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of the organisation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a high standard of financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and process Refundable Accommodation Deposits (RADs) and Daily Accommodation Payments (DAPs) in accordance with regulatory requirements
* Maintain accurate resident billing, receipting, and accounts receivable functions
* Assist with month-end close processes and financial reporting
* Liaise with residents, families, and internal stakeholders regarding financial matters
* Ensure compliance with aged care funding and fee frameworks
* Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports
* Assist with audits and respond to internal and external queries
* Contribute to process improvements and financial system enhancements
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* Demonstrated experience working in the aged care sector — this is essential
* Strong working knowledge of RADs and DAPs, including the regulatory framework governing accommodation payments
* Relevant qualification in accounting, finance, or business (Certificate IV, Diploma, or Degree level)
* Proficiency in aged care billing systems and financial software
* High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and compliance
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial matters to non-finance stakeholders
* Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
