About the Opportunity
As a Mental Health RN, you will:
* Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care for patients with acute and chronic mental health needs.
* Work within a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centred care.
* Support patients and families in decision-making, advocacy, and discharge planning.
* Supervise and mentor ENs and AINs where required.
* Contribute to clinical quality, safety, and improvement initiatives.
* Provide clear and confident communication, particularly when discussing risks and patient safety.
Skills and Experience
Essential
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
* Minimum of 3 years' mental health nursing experience.
* Strong clinical and risk management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work in a private hospital setting, with professionalism and teamwork.
Desirable
* Experience in drug and alcohol nursing.
* Previous private mental health hospital experience.
* Confidence in patient advocacy and communicating risks.
