Warehouse & Manufacturing Assistant

About Us

Adventure Market is Australia's go-to wholesale supplier of innovative gear for gold prospecting, magnet fishing, and outdoor adventure. We supply high-quality, field-tested tools to retail stores nationwide, with a focus on smart product design and excellent service.

The Role

We're looking for a reliable and proactive Warehouse & Manufacturing Assistant to support both day-to-day warehouse operations and hands-on product development.

You'll handle the basics — packing and shipping online orders, receiving deliveries, and keeping the warehouse organised. But you'll also get to roll up your sleeves on the creative side: building new products, working with tools, and helping turn ideas into finished gear.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys practical work, wants to learn a wide range of skills, and sees the potential for a career in product development, engineering, or operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Pick, pack, and dispatch online orders (wholesale and retail)
* Receive goods, check deliveries, and organise stock
* Assemble, bundle and pre-package products
* Keep the warehouse tidy, stocked, and safe
* Assist with stock counts and inventory updates
* Use tools and processes for light manufacturing (drop saws, glues, deburring, spray-painting, 3D printing & post-processing)
* Support new product builds and hands-on development projects

Preferred (Not Essential)

* Forklift license (or willingness to get licensed — we'll support this)
* Background in warehousing & logistics systems (Shipstation, Unleashed, Shopify)
* Background in manufacturing (sheet metal, fabrication, product assembly)
* CAD modelling (Fusion 360 or similar)
* 3D printing experience
* Strong practical/creative skills — enjoys making things and solving problems
* Feel free to tell us about any other relevant skills you might have

What We're Looking For

* Reliable, punctual, and enjoys to work independently
* Detail-focused and organised — careful with both stock and tools
* Hands-on mindset — enjoys building, fixing, and creating amazing products
* Comfortable with light manual handling (up to ~25kg safely)
* Proactive — ready to pitch in, learn new skills, and grow with the business

Work Details

* Hours: 3 shifts per week (8–15 hrs total), with room to grow
* Days: Monday, Wednesday & Friday mornings preferred (flexible for the right person)
* Pay: $32–$36/hour depending on experience, including loading

Growth Pathways

For the right candidate, this role could develop into full-time opportunities over the next 2–3 years, including:

* Mining Product Engineer
* Product Developer
* Manufacturing Manager
* Warehouse / Operations Manager

Who This Would Suit

* A uni student (studying commerce or engineering) looking for flexible, practical work while building career skills
* Someone who enjoys hands-on projects — using tools, assembling products, and creating new gear
* A detail-oriented, organised person who likes to keep things tidy and running smoothly
* Someone who wants variety: a mix of hands on warehouse operations, light manufacturing tasks and computer systems.
* A reliable, proactive worker who's keen to learn and grow an impactful career with a small business

Why Join Us?

This isn't a boring warehouse job — you'll be part of a small, innovative team where your work makes a real impact. You'll be working closely with the owner who is willing to share information, skills and help aid personal development. One day you'll be dispatching orders, the next you'll be helping create new gear for the outdoor adventure industry. It's a hands-on, practical role with plenty of variety and the chance to learn valuable skills for the future.

Expected hours: 8 – 15 per week

Benefits:

* Employee discount
* Professional development assistance

Application Question(s):

* What excites you about this role and the outdoor adventure gear industry?
* What's one skill, hobby, or experience that makes you unique and could add value in this role?
* What makes you get out of bed in the morning? Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
