Job Summary:
This role represents a key addition to our frontline service, focusing on enhancing and developing dynamic library collections that meet community needs.
* We are seeking an individual who can develop and evaluate library collections, ensuring they remain relevant and engaging for our community.
* The successful candidate will deliver exceptional customer service at our library facilities, responding to community needs and providing a positive experience.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide leadership in delivering high-quality customer service across the library service.
* Develop and implement quality control processes with library suppliers.
* Identify opportunities to improve resource development outcomes and community satisfaction.
* Create and maintain catalogue records for the library management system to industry standards.
About You:
* You must hold a tertiary qualification acceptable for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association or have significant progress towards this qualification.
* Demonstrated experience in collection development and trends within public libraries is essential.
* An understanding of library policies and procedures is also required.
