Legal Talent Manager: A Strategic Role in Law Firm Management
About the Job
This role is an integral part of our legal talent team, responsible for overseeing lawyers and other legal professionals. You will engage in day-to-day management of utilization, development, and integration, while advising on broader legal talent initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong strategic mindset, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
The successful candidate will be responsible for acting as a strategic advisor to firm committees or chairs, guiding the development and execution of key priorities. They will also build and maintain strong relationships with the broader legal talent team and other business services teams to collaborate in support of our strategic goals. Additionally, they will participate in regular progression, performance review, and compensation processes, and provide support for relevant firm committees or chairs throughout the process.
We are looking for a candidate who demonstrates excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, including organizing, planning, problem-solving, decision-making, and effective interaction with all organizational levels. They should also exhibit proficiency in PC applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and database management, with the ability to conduct thorough analyses and reports.
Requirements
- Minimum seven years of experience in law, legal talent, or professional services
- Minimum two years of supervisory experience in a related field, preferably
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- J.D. or equivalent, preferably
