Permanent full-time opportunity at Westpac’s Hobart branch. Join Westpac as a Personal Banking Advisor at our Wellington Centre branch in Hobart. As a Personal Banking Advisor, you’ll be at the heart of our branch network, welcoming customers to Westpac and engaging in conversations to uncover their needs and provide tailored banking solutions. You will utilise your product knowledge to assist customers in achieving their financial goals – both in person and over the phone – and referring them to our specialised Banking teams when necessary. This is a branch-based role with hours across Monday to Friday. 
Responsibilities 
- Welcome customers to Westpac and engage in meaningful conversations to uncover needs and provide tailored banking solutions (in person and over the phone). 
- Utilise product knowledge to assist customers in achieving their financial goals and refer to specialised Banking teams when necessary. 
- Support customers in managing their money to help them make the most of their finances. 
Qualifications 
- Customer service and sales experience, ideally in a customer-facing / phone-based role with experience of working to targets 
- Resilience, with an ability to remain calm and composed whilst managing challenging situations 
- Comfortable working towards sales / referral targets and calling customers over the phone 
- Numerical capability, ideally with proficiency in cash handling and counting, with ability to complete financial transactions with accuracy 
- An energetic personality coupled with a genuine passion for helping people 
- The will to learn and adapt to new banking procedures and technologies
