Role: HR Business Partner (internal title People Specialist)
Location: Victoria, Port Melbourne. 2 days in the office; other days are flexible
Employment Type: Full-Time, Fixed Term (10 Months)
Your Impact
As a trusted partner to senior leaders across three VIC regions, you’ll blend strategic insight with hands-on delivery to drive culture, capability, and performance. Working both nationally and locally, you’ll design and deliver people solutions that bring Goodstart’s strategy to life and create an exceptional experience for our 16,500 Goodstarters.
You’ll Help Achieve This By
- Proven HR business partnering experience with strong stakeholder influence.
- Expertise in employee relations, talent, capability, and leadership development.
- Experience driving change and managing projects across diverse teams.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with practical, operational delivery.
- A collaborative, authentic approach that builds trust and inspires people.
In Addition You Will
- Have a bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or a related discipline.
- Ability to translate HR theory into practical, fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Strong analytical and commercial skills to turn data into insights and action.
- Resilience in managing complexity, ambiguity, and competing demands.
- A “systems lens” to connect people initiatives across the wider organisation.
- Sound judgement to focus on priorities that deliver the greatest impact.
- Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- A current VIC Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
