About the role
Gillcraft Welding is seeking a skilled Boilermaker / Fabricator / Welder to join our team in Arundel, Queensland. This is a casual role where you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling a variety of metal components and structures.
What you'll be doing
* Operate welding equipment to join metal components according to specifications
* Demonstrate proficiency in MIG and TIG welding processes
* Perform metal fabrication tasks such as cutting, bending, and assembling metal parts
* Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication
* Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
* Contribute to a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and protocols
What we're looking for
* Formal qualifications in boilermaking, fabrication, or welding
* Demonstrated experience as a boilermaker, fabricator, or welder, preferably in a workshop or manufacturing environment
* Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a boilermaker, fabricator, or welder
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
* Forklift ticket is an advantage.
