Arborist
Council is seeking to appoint a permanent full time Arborist to contribute to Council's success.
* Work life balance working a 9-day fortnight, with your team currently trialling a 4 day week
* Based at the Boyne Tannum Memorial Parklands

About the Role
The purpose of this position is to support Council's direction to nurture and protect the regions Urban Forests and Trees, through the provision of effective arboriculture and associated services.
You will bring:
* Certificate III Arboriculture and relevant working knowledge, experience and expertise to undertake the range of activities required of the position.
* Accredited industry tree risk assessment and management training.
* Competent level of tree / plant identification, including characteristics of families and species.
* Knowledge of and understanding of plant pest and disease identification and treatment.
* Labouring skills to carry out maintenance activities on a daily basis.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
* Sound communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient skills and experience using technical devices.
* Experience and competency operating under a current Medium Rigid (MR) licence.

To be eligible for this position, the candidate must have applicable working rights.
This position requires immunisation against Hepatitis A/B and Tetanus.
