The Australian Institute of Criminology (AIC) is Australia\'s national research and knowledge centre on crime and justice. We conduct rigorous empirical research on topics of national significance. Roles undertaking cybercrime research are currently available, while a merit list will be established to fill any potential future roles related to the AIC's other research priorities.

APS LEVEL 6, SENIOR RESEARCH ANALYST
This position will be in the Australian Institute of Criminology (AIC). The AIC is Australia\'s national research and knowledge centre on crime and justice. We conduct rigorous empirical research on topics that are of national significance. Roles undertaking cybercrime research are currently available, while a merit list will be established to fill any potential future roles related to the AIC\'s other research priorities.
* As a Senior Research Analyst, you will:
* Undertake research projects
* Produce and supervise research output
* Disseminate research findings in a variety of forums
* Demonstrate expertise in particular areas
EXECUTIVE LEVEL 1, PRINCIPAL RESEARCH ANALYST
This position will be in the Australian Institute of Criminology (AIC). The AIC is Australia\'s national research and knowledge centre on crime and justice. We conduct rigorous empirical research on topics that are of national significance. Roles overseeing research into transnational serious and organised crime and violent extremism are currently available, while a merit list will be established to fill any potential future roles related to the AIC\'s other research priorities.
* As a Principal Research Analyst, you will:
* Manage and undertake research projects
* Produce and supervise research output
* Disseminate research findings in a variety of forums
* Demonstrate expertise in particular areas
* Provide leadership across the AIC
Your skills and capabilities
APS LEVEL 6, SENIOR RESEARCH ANALYST
* Experience in initiating, designing and managing research and/or evaluation projects
* Strong research, conceptual and analytical skills, including the use of quantitative and qualitative methods
* Strong writing and presentation skills, including the ability to identify and convey key results from research in concise and detailed peer-reviewed publications and present research findings and their implications
* Strong interpersonal skills, in particular expertise in consultation, liaison and negotiation and the ability to foster good working relationships with stakeholders and internal and external clients
EXECUTIVE LEVEL 1, PRINCIPAL RESEARCH ANALYST
* Expertise in initiating, designing and undertaking research, statistical and/or evaluation projects
* Outstanding research, conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to analyse, interpret and archive quantitative and qualitative data
* Strong writing and presentation skills, including the ability to identify and convey key results from research in concise and detailed peer-reviewed publications and present research findings and their implications to a range of government, law enforcement and academic audiences
* Experience in managing large scale research projects, including providing direction to others, monitoring workflow, setting priorities, meeting deadlines and reporting to stakeholders and senior management
* Strong interpersonal skills, in particular expertise in consultation, liaison and negotiation and the ability to foster good working relationships with stakeholders and internal and external clients
Eligibility
* Citizenship – To be eligible for employment with the ACIC, applicants must be an Australian citizen
* Security Clearance - The Australian community expects ACIC employees to maintain the highest levels of security and integrity. Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 security clearance
* Pre-Employment Screening – All candidates must satisfy an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to being offered employment at the ACIC
