What you'll be doing
In this hands-on clinical role, you'll assist clinicians and student clinicians to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality oral health care to eligible patients across WSLHD Oral Health Services.
You'll play a vital role in supporting clinical workflows, patient wellbeing and infection control standards in a dynamic healthcare environment.
* Assist clinicians during dental procedures, including preparation, instrument transfer and moisture control
* Support patient care from appointment coordination through to post-operative oral health education
* Maintain infection prevention standards, including PPE use, sterilisation and waste management
* Assist with dental radiography, equipment preparation and image processing
* Accurately manage clinical data using NSW Health and Oral Health digital systems

Essential Requirements:
Qualification: Certificate III in Dental Assisting or recognised equivalent/current enrolment in the course
Selection Criteria:
* Certificate III in Dental Assisting or recognised equivalent or experience and willingness to undertake and successfully
* Recent experience as a Dental Assistant.
* Demonstrated ability to perform effective infection control procedures in all aspects of Dental Assisting.
* Demonstrated proficiency and accuracy in dental charting with good computer skills.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proven ability to liaise with a wide range of individuals.
* Demonstrated understanding of work health safety requirements
* Excellent organisational, time-management and problem-solving skills.
