Maintenance Fitter - Night Shift (Food Manufacturing)

A global leader in food manufacturing with a strong presence in Australia is currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join their night shift team at their advanced production facility in West Melbourne.
This is a full-time, permanent role in a highly automated environment where you'll play a critical part in ensuring plant reliability, safety, and minimal downtime across production lines.
What You'll Be Doing
- Performing scheduled preventative maintenance and attending to reactive breakdowns across a wide range of mechanical equipment
- Fault finding and repairs on conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, and other plant systems
- Assisting with machinery improvements and continuous improvement projects
- Working closely with production and other trades to maintain uptime and efficiency
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed and adhering to safety and quality standards
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Mechanical Fitter (Certificate III or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG setting
- Robust mechanical fault-finding skills and ability to work independently
- Familiar with automated machinery and continuous processing equipment
- Team player with a safety-first mindset and strong communication skills
- Able to commit to permanent night shift work
