Role Description
We are looking for a driven, self‐motivated legal counsel to play a key role in executing on the exciting growth opportunities ahead of Eticore. In this role, you will serve as Eticore's primary legal counsel, providing accurate and timely advice to fellow executives and the Board across a wide range of legal, regulatory and governance matters. You will oversee compliance with all legal, regulatory and licensing obligations, including those relating to Eticore's ACL and AFSL, and ensure the Company maintains a strong, best‐practice governance and risk management framework.
You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal and transaction‐specific documents, managing Eticore's legal budget and external legal panel, and maintaining key governance tools. An important part of the role includes researching and communicating legal and regulatory developments to the CEO and EGM, supporting strategic decision‐making and ensuring Eticore remains aligned with industry best practice.
You will also play a central role in reinforcing Eticore's ethical standards, corporate social responsibility and organisational values. This includes representing Eticore positively to internal and external stakeholders, supporting employees with legal and compliance guidance, and ensuring all policies, procedures and records meet governance and regulatory requirements.
Your Responsibilities
* Partner with the CEO, EGM and Board to provide accurate, timely legal advice.
* Draft, review and negotiate company and transaction‐specific legal documents.
* Monitor compliance with legal, regulatory and licensing obligations.
* Maintain and enhance Eticore's governance, risk management and compliance frameworks.
* Manage Eticore's legal budget and external legal panel.
* Build trusted relationships with clients, investors and external counsel.
* Maintain the Obligations Register, Risk Matrix and Risk Management Framework.
* Identify and report non‐compliance with controls, policies, procedures or legislation.
* Deliver training and materials on legal, regulatory, risk and compliance matters.
* Provide support and guidance on legal and regulatory matter to the broader team.
* Uphold Eticore's ethical standards and its stance on corporate social responsibility and community well‐being.
* Ensure compliance with OH&S policies and provide sound internal counsel to employees.
* Represent Eticore professionally to internal and external stakeholders.

A law degree and minimum 5 years' experience in private practice or as in‐house counsel are essential.
