We are recruiting a Sales Manager to lead the sales function, which is split between Canberra and Brisbane, with the role based in Canberra.
The purpose of this role is to maintain and enhance customer satisfaction, revenue, and brand awareness. The Sales Manager will advocate for the company's service offerings and contribute to business growth. This position sits within the consulting team and reports to the Managing Director.
This is a permanent, hybrid role—an advantageous arrangement heading into 2025.
Position-specific tasks or responsibilities:
1. Manage the consulting team, focusing on wellbeing, workload, and accountability.
2. Manage the assigned account base, identifying new customer acquisition opportunities.
3. Identify growth opportunities within current accounts to increase scope of work and align with customer outcomes.
4. Build prospect pipelines and forecast opportunities.
5. Manage the customer pipeline and provide accurate forecasts.
6. Grow revenue and gross profit through ongoing customer management.
7. Serve as the first contact point for current customers regarding sales, account management, and customer service.
8. Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships.
9. Support sales functions as needed.
10. Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and value propositions.
11. Collaborate with vendors to understand market offerings.
12. Assist with RFT/RFQ processes and support contract negotiations.
13. Contribute sales content to marketing and participate in webinars or podcasts.
14. Attend trade shows, events, and conferences; promote activities on LinkedIn.
15. Support the professional services team with client projects when required.
16. Travel to Sydney and Brisbane may be occasionally required.
Desired Skills and Experience:
1. 5+ years in IT sales and customer service.
2. 3+ years in sales management or leadership roles.
3. 1+ years in a traditional managed services provider or IT services environment.
4. Understanding of server, storage, networking, and cloud technologies.
5. Knowledge of current digital transformation trends within the MS Stack.
