Position: Category Sourcing Specialist within the Indirect Category Team responsible for all non‐aircraft spend categories such as travel, credit card, facilities, IT, shop supplies, training, uniforms/work wear and other corporate services. The role supports local Australian spend and assigned categories of global spend across multiple countries including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Scotland and the United States.
Responsibilities
* Become the 'go‐to' Indirect Supply Chain lead/expert for assigned categories of spend.
* Develop and execute an annual procurement strategy for assigned categories of spend and project‐specific strategies.
* Establish strong relationships with stakeholders to partner on the strategy, effectively manage spend, identify savings opportunities, prioritise initiatives and drive improvements.
* Maintain full visibility and ownership of local suppliers and contracts as well as assigned global areas of spend.
* Proactively analyse spend to identify savings opportunities and evaluate supplier proposals.
* Lead the end‐to‐end sourcing process including building the project team, procurement strategy, gathering requirements, issuing RFQ/RFP, evaluations, negotiations and contracting.
* Document and report on results.
* Ensure contracts transition to the vendor management phase and roles are clearly defined; support stakeholder in vendor management, including running business reviews.
* Contract management: proactively address upcoming expirations and work with stakeholders to ensure compliance.
* Support regional global programs (e.g., travel, credit card, facilities and procurement) as needed.
* Report KPIs, savings and other business or internal reviews.
* Collaborate and engage with key stakeholders across CHC such as Finance, Legal, HR, Safety & Quality.
* Ensure compliance with CHC Procurement and other relevant policies.
* Perform other duties as may be assigned.
* International travel may be required.
Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years Supply Chain experience with a focus on Strategic Sourcing.
* Proven experience in development and execution of a category/procurement strategy.
* Strong financial/analytical skill set; ability to analyse large data sets and formulate strategies and opportunities.
* Outstanding negotiation skills with proven results in negotiating high‐value, complex contracts.
* Innovation and problem‐solving: ability to think creatively and find solutions.
* Strong leadership skills: ability to lead projects and engage required team members from any location.
* Strong business acumen and high professionalism.
* Ability to develop strong relationships across the organisation and external vendors.
* Adaptable to changing priorities.
* Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint & Word) and generating reports.
* Training/experience in Continuous Improvement (Lean, Six Sigma) preferred.
* Supply Chain accreditation (CPP, CPSM, CPIM, CSCP) preferred.
* Demonstration of ethical conduct.
* Strong written and verbal communication.
