About the role
The Payroll Officer is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll in compliance with relevant legislation, company policies and award/agreement requirements. This role ensures that all employees are paid correctly and on time, and that payroll records are maintained with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality. Based at our head office in Cannon Hill, we are looking for a Payroll Officer who will:
* Support end-to-end processing of fortnightly payroll to deadline.
* Process and maintain employee data and payroll records.
* Provide support and high-level customer service to employees and managers.
* Assist payroll management in audits and financial reporting as well as supporting end of month and end of year reporting and activities.

About you
You are a detail-orientated payroll Officer who thrives in a cooperative but fast-paced environment. This a great opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys working independently and is committed to delivering accurate and timely payroll services. While this role reports into the Manager – Payroll & Remuneration, your responsibility will be to provide payroll support to the wider organisation. Your experience includes:
* Experience in a payroll processing role, with a strong understanding of end-to-end payroll.
* Excellent attention to detail and understanding of payroll legislation, tax and superannuation requirements.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
* Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (mainly Excel and Word).
* Employment Hero (or similar size HRIS/Payroll system) experience highly advantageous.
* Ability to provide high quality customer service to all team members.
* Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
