The Housing Industry Association is Australia's peak residential building industry body. We are the largest nationally operating group apprenticeship scheme in Australia.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Act as an industry liaison for HIA in supporting schools to deliver the HIA youthBUILD program and associated projects and in promoting building careers.
- Deliver a high quality and relevant advice and support to HIA youthBUILD schools
- Service - An overarching focus on service which guides practices and standards within the program
- Support - Acting as an industry liaison and providing support for teachers (and students when on-site) through expert knowledge and oversight of works with integrity and sound judgement
- Assist with the development of HIA youthBUILD material and resources
- Arrange site visits to schools participating in HIA youthBUILD
- Administration - Ensuring appropriate record keeping and reporting on school's HIA youthBUILD activities.
**To be successful, you will require**:
- Industry background (trade & TAE qualifications preferred)
- Current Working with Vulnerable People registration essential
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Planning and relationship management experience
- High standards of written/verbal communication and administration
- Computer literate with experience using MS Office products, Canvas and similar programs
- An understanding of educational processes and methods.
- An understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Ability to work well within a small team environment and autonomously.
- Ability to represent HIA and its interests in a professional manner
- Strong problem-solving skills;
- Energetic and enthusiastic
- Current Driver's License
