**Position Overview**

In alignment with Power Ledger's strategic goals, the Engineering Manager is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating technical feature development in line with customers' (electricity distribution network service providers) needs in targeted markets.

As part of the Product & Operations team, this position will work closely with business development, analysts and developers to execute the role and will be required to support others in the execution of their role as business priorities require it.

**Key Responsibilities and Outcomes**

**Agile Product Development**
- Draft product specifications that promote strategic and specific commercial outcomes that document product requirements and ensure internal sign-off before development begins.
- Work closely with the Business Development team, marketing and other stakeholders on product requirements and product specifications to ensure alignment with market requirements and business priorities.
- Once determined viable, create a Products Requirements Document (PRD) and other relevant documentation and assist the Tech Leadership to make a technical spec for development.

**Technical Development**
- Interpreting technical diagrams, and specifications, and providing advice on engineering methods
- Document processes and project planning
- Participate in testing and provide constructive feedback to the tech team
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Ensure market-leading engineering standards are part of all developments
- Design and document core business logic and translate to system requirements
- Assist in designing technical logic
- Contribute to the development and refinement of the product's commercial model

**Project Delivery**
- Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within the scope and with high quality
- Develop project plans to track progress
- Perform risk management to minimise project risks and associated legal and reputation risks
- Support the process of project discovery and mapping, including understanding the trading logic to relay to the tech team
- Support and participate in communication with clients with respect to all aspects of project delivery
- Data processing, analysis and quality assurance
- Ensure high levels of internal engagement and understanding in delivery requirements and risks
- Support the process of bringing the VPP product to market

- Develop and maintain industry knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organisations.

**Skills & Attributes, Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge**

**Skills & Attributes**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication coupled with stakeholder management skills
- Modelling skills related to the energy market and the ability to assess the feasibility of projects in different operating environments
- Ability to produce detailed reports, proposals and presentations
- Familiarity working with SQL, software development and advanced Excel skills (desirable)
- Understanding of agile methodologies and experience in a startup environment (preferred)

**Qualifications**:

- Tertiary qualification in a related field (Engineering, Commerce/Business, IT)

**Experience and Knowledge**:

- 5 years of experience within the sector in a related role
- An understanding of the energy industry.

**Salary**: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

- Perth, WA 6000: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
