Remuneration: $32.53 – $33.38 per hour + super

About The Role

As an Operations Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting nursing staff and patients to ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the Endoscopy Unit.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

Assisting with patient transportation via beds, trolleys and wheelchairs
Supporting scope reprocessing and maintaining high infection control standards
Cleaning and reprocessing endoscopes
Assisting with manual handling and stores management
Transporting documents, equipment and specimens to support hospital flow
Working collaboratively with nurses, supervisors and other hospital staff
Maintaining workplace safety and participating in WHS training
Completing ongoing yearly GENCA Endoscopy reprocessing modules
Ensuring correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

This is a hands-on role within a busy procedural unit where attention to detail and adherence to safety standards are essential.

About You

Experience in a hospital procedural environment is preferred but not essential. No prior experience is required — training will be provided.

Ongoing education includes mandatory training and completion of online learning modules, including annual GENCA reprocessing requirements. To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport.
