Where you'll be working

Based at Taree Community Health Service, this role sits within Aged Care Services across the Lower Mid North Coast. You'll be joining a genuinely supportive and collaborative team environment, backed by an approachable Service Manager and a highly experienced Administration Team—allowing you to focus on delivering quality care, not paperwork. This is a service that values its people, fosters teamwork, and prioritises meaningful outcomes for the community it serves.

What You'll Be Doing

* Deliver Occupational Therapy services directly in clients' homes—supporting older people, along with their families and carers, to maintain independence, safety, and quality of life.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary Community Aged Care Team, including Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, Geriatricians, Nurse Practitioners, Dementia Support Services, Single Assessment Assessors, and the Transitional Aged Care Program team.
* Build advanced clinical capability, contribute to service development, policies, and procedures, and supervise and mentor Occupational Therapy students.

About You

* Strong clinical skills and experience in community and/or aged care.
* A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* A proactive approach to learning, development, and service improvement.
* An interest in mentoring or supporting future clinicians.
* Someone who wants the work to have purpose and impact.

Requirements

* Occupational Therapist with valid Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
* Unrestricted NSW Driver's Licence (required for community-based work).

What We Can Offer You

* Up to $10,000 in the first 12 months PLUS up to $5,000 each year thereafter in fortnightly payments under the Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme (approved until 30th June 2026).
* Proximity to shopping and other services.
* Paid parental leave (for eligible employees), supporting work‐life balance.
* Salary packaging options – up to $11,600 plus novated leasing.
* Fitness Passport for health and wellbeing – discounted gym options for you and your family.
* Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for staff and family members.

Additional Information

* Based on a minimum 18‐month commitment to the position or the agreed duration of your contract. All payments to part‐time and contract employees will be made pro‐rata in accordance with the terms of your contract.
* An eligibility list will be created for future permanent or part‐time vacancies.
* This position is full‐time; however, part‐time/job share arrangements may also be considered.
* Eligibility for permanent employment requires Australian Citizenship, permanent residency, or New Zealand citizenship with a valid New Zealand Passport. Temporary visa holders can only be considered if no suitable local candidate is identified.
* We are unable to accommodate visa sponsorship for applicants requiring a visa for this position.
