Position advertised:
We are looking for an experienced permanent full-time Roof Plumber to join our Cairns based team to fulfil the duties of Tradesperson - Roof Plumber.
The applicant should consider themselves an organised and reliable individual with relevant trade based experience, excellent communication skills, adept with phone Apps and competent abilities to organise and supervise a team of roofing tradespersons and apprentices.
You'll be 'hands on' working across residential and industrial roofing projects, installing and repairing roofing, fascia and guttering systems. This role suits a confident tradesperson who can work unsupervised and deliver high-quality outcomes every time. Responsibilities include:
* Residential and Industrial roofing, fascia and gutter installation
* Cutting in and installing all gutter profiles
* Supervising junior tradespersons and apprentices
* Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
* Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach on site
Qualifications:
You must hold a Certificate III in Roof Plumbing to be a suitable applicant.
Completed High Risk work training for Working at Heights.
Completed a Certificate to operate a boom-type Elevating Platform.
You must hold a Construction Induction Card (QLD White Card) to be a suitable applicant.
You must hold a current National Police Check or be willing to obtain one.
Applicants must have Australian work rights to be eligible for this position.
Experience:
We are looking for a candidate that has a minimum of 5-years experience as a roofing plumber.
Applicants with past experience as a leading hand, will be favoured.
Standard work hours:
* 7:30am to 4:00pm Monday to Thursday.
* 7:30am to 2:00pm Friday.
Overtime (if applicable):
* Overtime worked as continuation of standard work hours is accrued as Time-Off-In-Lieu (TOIL).
* Overtime worked as non-continuation of standard work hours, including weekends or public holidays, are paid at the relevant penalty rates.

* 6-monthly performance & wage reviews.

Tasks & responsibilities:

* Liaise with clients using necessary forms of communication including in-person, phone, email, or text as required to fulfil the needs of the client.
* Carry out the installation, repair & maintenance of roofing infrastructure, fixtures & fittings.
* Provide knowledge, guidance, training & support to tradespersons and apprentices.
* Competently complete the entry of data into the company's job management software for each job, quote, activity, or task.
* Always maintain a clean appearance whilst at work, including a well pressed work uniform with a tucked-in shirt, belt & buttoned sleeves.
* Demonstrate safe work habits & proper care of company vehicles, tools & equipment.
