Financial Accounting Professional

The Financial Accountant role at our company involves providing effective and accurate financial support to the business by maintaining operational expenses, balance sheet reconciliations, and related accounting functions.
\
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Commerce/Business or other related discipline, with a minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment. Thorough reconciliation experience and strong technical accounting skills are essential, along with an understanding of accounting standards, regulations, and guidelines as they apply to the role.
\
Key responsibilities include preparation of general journals and accruals with supporting documentation, balance sheet reconciliations, and related follow-up, investigation into reconciling items, and analysis of general ledger balances, review of weekly payment runs, preparation of GST/VAT returns, management of related queries, assisting with audit and other statutory-related queries, ad-hoc financial investigation, and analysis as required, and adherence to month-end and other regulatory timelines.
\
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is required, along with the ability to analyze financial information. Experience in the use of finance systems (Oracle would be advantageous) is also desirable.
