**Environmental Scientist Role**
We are seeking a skilled Environmental Scientist to join our team and contribute to our pioneering efforts in reef restoration. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and problem-solving skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art instrumentation and make a tangible impact on the environment. As part of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development and improvement of research technology across all projects, coordinating the deployment of instrumentation, and managing the installation, configuration, data quality control, logging, and display of instrumentation on various platforms.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A post-secondary qualification in engineering, electronics or related field with at least 12 months technical experience working with complex scientific instrumentation.
* Proficiency in atmospheric, aerosol, and lidar instrumentation, as well as hyperspectral cameras.
* Familiarity with instrument communication protocols and various data logging and programming methods.
* A passion for environmental science and a desire to be at the forefront of efforts to protect the Great Barrier Reef.
