We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic customer focused go‑getter to join the Heidelberg Materials Australia team in Gisborne, Victoria, approximately one hour north of Melbourne. The Concrete Batcher is a role with excellent career development potential, offering exposure to concrete, quarry materials, plant operation, concrete batching, scheduling and logistics within the construction industry.
Are you a self‑motivated team player? We are searching for someone who is passionate about safety, results‑focused, has excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and can manage multiple tasks at once. Candidates from all industries – hospitality, logistics, agriculture, supply chain, commerce, fast food, manufacturing, mining, health – are encouraged to apply. If you have batching or concrete experience it's a bonus, but it is not a pre‑requisite.
This is a full‑time role, Monday to Friday, with early morning starts and rostered Saturday work according to business needs.
In your new role with us, you will be:
* Overseeing the operation of a concrete batch plant
* Operating a front‑end loader (FEL)
* Regularly interacting with customers, taking orders and scheduling deliveries
* Working in a high‑performing team and collaborating with other local plants to deliver positive outcomes for Heidelberg Materials and the customer
* Demonstrating safety, coaching and mentoring potential
* Ensuring all products adhere to strict quality requirements
* Monitoring plant and equipment, scheduling and conducting maintenance as required
* Managing maintenance and production tasks, which includes some level of manual handling

* Great hourly rate starting at $30.35, with higher rates of up to $33.36/hr depending on experience and competency level
* Monday – Friday schedule plus rostered Saturday mornings finishing around lunch time
