Motorcycle Mechanic – The Motorcycle Shed

Full-time | Competitive Pay + Profit Share | Close-Knit Local Team

The Motorcycle Shed is looking for a qualified Motorcycle Mechanic to step into an established role within our small, trusted team.

This is a unique opportunity — our workshop is stable, roles rarely open, and we're about to enter an exciting new chapter with a brand-new, purpose-built workshop loaded with modern equipment.

If you value quality work, teamwork, and being part of a workshop that genuinely cares about its people, you'll feel right at home here.

About Us

The Motorcycle Shed is a locally owned, independent workshop that's been serving riders for almost 10 years. We pride ourselves on honesty, craftsmanship, and a community-focused approach. We're not about high-pressure dealership culture or treating techs like numbers — we're about doing things properly, looking after our customers, and looking after each other.

We're also preparing to move into a shiny new workshop designed from the ground up with the right tools, the right layout, and all the practical upgrades a mechanic actually appreciates.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work along side industry experts with decades of experience undertaking everything from general service and repairs, dyno tuning, race prep, RWC, engine and suspension rebuilds and everything in between.

As a Motorcycle Mechanic at The Motorcycle Shed, you will:

* Perform servicing, repairs and maintenance across a wide range of makes and models
* Complete accurate diagnostics and problem-solving
* Work collaboratively with the Workshop Manager and team to keep workflow smooth
* Uphold high standards of workmanship — we don't do shortcuts
* Keep your work area clean, organised and safe

You'll be stepping into a well-established role with an immediate impact on the team and our customers.

What You'll Bring

* Cert III in Motorcycle Mechanical Technology or proven equivalent experience (3rd/4th year apprentices will be considered)
* Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic ability
* A genuine passion for motorcycles and rider-focused service
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a close-knit team
* Strong attention to detail and pride in your craft
* VicRoads LVT will be well regarded
* Road, adventure or off-road experience is a bonus

Why Join The Motorcycle Shed?

* Competitive salary based on experience
* Profit share—because when the workshop succeeds, you should benefit too
* Join a small, supportive team where your contribution is valued
* A brand-new, fully equipped workshop with modern tools, lifts and equipment
* Stable, long-term position in a business approaching 10 years in operation
* Well supported team with dedicated and experienced parts and front of house staff that compliment the workshop team
* Ongoing development and training support
* Staff pricing on parts and accessories
* Track days, team events and a fun workplace
* A genuine workplace culture built on trust, respect and shared passion
