Our client is looking for an Internal Auditor to join their team on a full-time basis for an initial 6-month temporary contract with extension possibilities. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an internal audit professional to gain valuable experience within a reputable and well-established organisation based in Perth.
Your new role
As an Internal Auditor, your responsibilities will include:
* Conduct audits and reviews in line with the organisations Audit Plan.
* Contribute to project management of audit/review processes, including parts of larger projects.
* Work collaboratively in teams to research, review, and recommend improvements from audits.
* Assist in developing risk-based strategic and business plans to identify audit/review topics.
* Provide management with advice on best practices and performance improvement.
* Report findings from audits and reviews to the Executive Manager.
* Promote continuous improvement by developing audit procedures, systems, and tools.
* Consult with staff to ensure audits and reviews meet management needs.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of contemporary audit practices.
What you'll need to succeed
* Holds relevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant experience in internal audit environments.
* Highly proficient in report writing and presenting findings to senior and executive management.
* Skilled in communicating effectively with personnel at all levels, both internally and externally.
* Experienced in conducting comprehensive audits and performance reviews in large, complex organisations.
* Strong ability to analyse data, research best practices, and develop innovative, effective solutions.
* Demonstrates professionalism and commitment to timely audit outcomes.
* In-depth understanding of internal audit standards, methodologies, principles, and risk management concepts.
* Skilled in developing and implementing risk-based audit programs.
* Ability to interpret legislation during audits and reviews.
* Capable of managing audits, reviews, and complex projects independently.
