Role Overview
The Leading Hand Service Crew is responsible for leading a team of service crew members to ensure the smooth operation and safety of our mining areas and infrastructure.
This role involves coordinating tasks, delegating responsibilities, and providing guidance and training to less experienced team members. The successful candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, practical troubleshooting skills, and demonstrated leadership abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate a team of service crew members to complete tasks on time and to a high standard
* Delegate tasks and ensure work is completed efficiently
* Provide guidance and training to less experienced team members to enhance their skills and knowledge
* Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime and optimize production
* Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all work is carried out safely
Requirements:
* At least 18 months of experience in a similar role
* Strong mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshooting skills
* Minimum 3 years of underground mining experience
* Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to motivate and develop a team
* Current manual C Class Driver's Licence
* Dangerous Goods Security Card
* Working at Heights certification
* Current Police Clearance
