Your new role
As a Water & Wastewater Operator, you will be responsible for the operation, monitoring and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment facilities in the Dysart region. This hands-on role includes plant operation, routine inspections, water quality sampling, minor maintenance and breakdown response. This is a DIDO position, with candidates expected to remain in the region for the duration of their rostered shifts, including participating in an on-call roster to attend unplanned breakdowns when required. The role will commence ASAP and run through to mid-August 2026.
What you'll need to succeed
* Demonstrated experience in water and/or wastewater treatment operations
* Knowledge of treatment processes and process control adjustments
* Commitment to workplace health and safety and environmental compliance
* Ability to carry out routine maintenance and respond to breakdowns
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Current C Class Australian Driver's Licence
* Construction White Card
* Ability and willingness to participate in an on-call roster
* Willingness to remain in the region for shift durations (DIDO role)
* Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (desirable)
