About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Road Worker to join a dedicated maintenance team based at the Singleton Works Centre. This is a contract role running until 31 December 2025, with potential for extension based on operational requirements. The role is essential to ensuring road infrastructure is maintained to high standards of safety and functionality. You will be working on a 9-day fortnight roster, with standard hours from 6:30am to 3:30pm, and enjoying every second Monday as an RDO. The hourly pay rate ranges from $40.99 to $42.02.
Key Responsibilities
o Carry out road repairs and maintenance in accordance with safety and quality standards
o Operate small plant and equipment relevant to road maintenance
o Perform manual handling duties including asphalt work, pothole repairs, and traffic control setup
o Work collaboratively with team members to deliver scheduled and emergency road works
o Load and unload materials and equipment safely
o Undertake site preparation and clean-up tasks
o Comply with all relevant WHS and environmental policies and procedures
o Complete required documentation and reporting on works performed
o Assist with other general civil construction duties as required
About You
o Prior experience in road construction, maintenance, or civil works
o White Card (Construction Induction) is mandatory
o Current valid driver’s licence is essential
o MR or HR truck licence highly regarded but not essential
o Comfortable working in outdoor, physical environments
o Skilled in operating tools, machinery, or small plant (desirable)
o Sound understanding of workplace safety procedures
o Team player with a proactive and reliable attitude
o Must have full working rights in Australia (citizenship, permanent residency or long-term visa holders only)
