**About the role**
The key responsibility of this role is to build and deliver strategic planning that supports longer term mine planning, that will drive the optimisation of our resources. The overarching strategy will include project scoping, feasibilities studies and approvals through to implementation into operations.
***Lead the way in shaping our long-term success**
- Establishment and implementation of project development strategies for both iron ore & lithium hubs, including project responsibilities and accountabilities for the team working on each project.
- Overall management of technical, feasibility and licence to operate aspects of projects in the development phase including:
- Technical & financial feasibility assessments
- Environmental, native title, heritage and tenure approvals
- Geology, mine planning and hydro design
- Processing, metallurgy and non-process infrastructure preliminary designs
- Establish project governance frameworks and controls to drive compliance, tracking progress and delivering effective reports for each project against budget and schedule timelines.
- Focus on continual identification and analysis of project risk and opportunities and present these to senior and executive level stakeholders.
- Oversee adherence to project plans by reviewing design, specifications, scheduling changes, and recommend actions.
- Working closely with the business development function, identify, support and lead development opportunities as they arise.
- Engagement with our joint venture partners on project development.
