Property Advisory Services (PAS) – Role OverviewThe Business Banking (BB) team manages relationships with Commonwealth Bank's small-medium enterprise customers, mid-market corporate customers, and regional and agribusiness customers – providing a wide range of financial services and solutions.
Property Advisory Services (PAS) is a specialist property team within BB.
They provide frontline teams with technical property advice to support growth and manage risk, whilst ensuring positive customer outcomes.
In addition, PAS is focused on driving process improvement, reimagining products and services and identifying opportunities in the valuation and broader property industry.
PAS is also responsible for the management and monitoring of the commercial, rural and specialised panel of property consultants – an area of great opportunity to deliver leading valuation and other property consultant's services.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide frontline banker support on property finance opportunities including bespoke requests, client and consultant meetings and ongoing transactional support.Contribute to the on-going improvement of BB by actively looking for opportunities to improve and simplify policies, procedures and systems by adopting a 'think outside the box' approach to deliver world class service and outcomes to our stakeholders.Develop and sustain effective business relationships with industry contacts to ensure currency of market knowledge across all property sectors, to advise BB of industry trends and legislative changes as they affect the relevant markets.Provision of property consultancy advice to frontline bankers and credit officers on the suitability of valuations and other consultants reports for deal origination, transactions and ongoing reliance.Undertake hindsighting of panel reports to ensure high standards are maintained by our suppliers and high-quality services are provided to the Bank and our clients.QualificationsCertified Practicing Valuer (CPV) or an industry equivalent is required.A strong knowledge of the property industry with demonstrated experience in property valuation.Proactive and energised to embed a culture of continuous improvement, with a desire to 'think outside of the box' and reimagine new products, process and services.Strong technical property knowledge with good understanding of risk, compliance and governance.Excellent verbal and written communications skills with meticulous attention to detail.Work well both independently and in a team environment and can adapt to change.Resilient and able to manage a fast-paced work environment.Our Commitment to InclusionAt CommBank, we advocate and facilitate a culture of inclusion and respect, celebrating all cultures, abilities, genders, expressions of gender and sexual orientation.
