Youth Care Specialist
At Berry Street, we offer a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people aged 10 to 17 who are placed under Child Protection orders.
Our dedicated team works collaboratively to deliver high-quality therapeutic care, supporting young people in their educational, social, and recreational pursuits while fostering independence.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver best practice therapeutic interventions and program guidelines to ensure the highest standard of care and child safety
* Provide positive role modeling, supporting young people in their daily activities
* Create a safe and nurturing home environment, including managing household duties and providing nutritious meals
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A minimum Cert IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or equivalent qualification is required
* Applicants must complete mandatory upskilling units as required by Department of Families, Fairness and Housing
* A driver's license (minimum green P's) is essential for transporting young people
