We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team in Newcastle.

About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for assessing property damage, scoping required works, collecting relevant site information, and preparing accurate estimates and reports to support project delivery.
This position plays a key role in ensuring cost-effective and timely solutions for our clients, so a strong focus on quality, precision, and deadlines is essential.
Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting on-site assessments and inspections
* Preparing detailed scope of works and cost estimates
* Gathering and documenting supporting evidence
* Providing clear and concise reporting for internal and external stakeholders
You will need a good level of physical fitness, and a pre-employment medical assessment will be required to confirm your ability to safely perform the duties of the role.
Regular travel to site locations is a core part of this role, so flexibility and a willingness to travel are essential.
Ideally, we are looking for someone who has:
* A trade qualification in Carpentry or a building background.
* Previous estimating experience in a similar industry (insurance industry preferred)
* Experience in insurance or remedial building, with experience in conducting investigations diagnosing and reporting on building damage, faults, maintenance, and repairs will be highly regarded.
* Strong planning and organisational skills with high attention to detail.
* Ability to meet deadlines and stay focused under pressure.
* Excellent negotiating skills with the ability to resolve conflict coupled with a keen eye for detail.
* Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
* Current Drivers Licence
