Experienced Property Manager (Remote Portfolio)
About Our Business
We have built an exceptional Property Management Team, with portfolios in Broome, Derby & Port Hedland. We have staff on the ground in these offices as well as an established Subiaco office for our remote staff.
We are now seeking an Experienced Property Manager to join the team in Subiaco, managing a portfolio of approximately 115 properties. To be supported by a full-time Property Management Assistant in Broome, an in-house trust accountant, a Broome-based Business Development Manager, and a Broome-based Office Manager.
Our Ray White Broome office has created an environment that supports its staff, encourages growth and training, offers opportunities for further development, and is a genuinely pleasant place to work.
We recognise that Property Management can sometimes be a thankless task, that's why we proactively make it our job to show our staff that they are appreciated, and if processes need adjusting to make your and the customer's experience smoother, we make it happen. A few examples of this are:
Strongly encouraging our staff to stick to their work hours as much as possible, and if they are unable to, offering support to get back on track.
Offering bonuses and incentives for well-run portfolios.
3 Monthly Staff Development Sessions.
We would like the right person to share our company mission statement - "To exceed the expectations of our client by providing a highly personalised, at all times reliable service, that always leads to a positive result."
Job Role & Responsibilities
As a Property Manager you will be responsible for monitoring arrears, rent reviews, management agreement renewals, and ensuring maintenance is dealt with in a timely manner. Whilst dedicated on the ground support conducts routine inspections and PCR's.
We understand that Property Management goes above managing properties, it's promoting understanding and facilitating communication. We get to know our tenants and landlords, understand their needs and interests, and use creative problem-solving to enable all parties to reach an agreement.
Our processes and systems that we use day-to-day allow us to run a smooth ship. We have procedures in place that encourage support and create a cohesive remote work setup. In saying that, we're continually looking for ways to improve behind the scenes and are open to feedback from every member of our team.
Skills & Experience
As a registered Property Manager, there are numerous skills required to be a high-performing Property Manager, however, we recognise that many of these skills can be developed over time so the most important attributes we look for in a new member of staff are:
An attitude that allows for change and further personal & professional development.
A thorough understanding of how to provide great client and customer service.
A positive person who will embrace our carefully cultivated office culture.
Our office exudes a high-performance supportive culture where we offer our staff the opportunity to grow and develop in their role, and should they wish to diversify within the office, we encourage that as much as possible.
Our staff have regular Business Development Sessions to discuss how the role is going and offer support in the form of additional training in the areas where you want to grow. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) give our staff the opportunity to earn bonuses every month.
Each of our Property Managers have their own full-time assistant on the ground who carries out all Routine Inspections, as well as additional administrative tasks as required.
In our fast-paced industry, our office prides itself on offering a personalised service to our clients - we understand that the happier our staff, the better service they will provide. We firmly believe that this mentality relies upon the way we manage our staff.
