Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled craftsman to install insulated glass units (IGUs), retrofit double glazing into existing timber windows and doors, and restore, repair, and install new timber joinery.
About the Role:
* A qualified tradesperson with experience in timber window and door fabrication and installation.
* Confident with site work, measurements, and problem-solving.
* High attention to detail and pride in producing quality workmanship.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Measuring and installing new timber windows and doors, including sashes, frames, beads, and custom components.
2. Retrofitting IGUs and replacing sashes, frames, beads, and custom components on existing windows and doors.
3. Repairing, restoring, and servicing existing timber joinery (sash windows, casements, french doors, sliders, etc.).
4. Carrying out sash replacements, spiral balance conversions, weight & cord repairs, and draught-sealing.
5. Working with leadlight windows as required.
6. Installing hardware, beads, architraves, trims, and seals to a high standard.
7. Diagnosing issues with existing joinery and providing solutions.
8. Working safely at heights and using tools and equipment correctly.
9. Communicating professionally with customers and representing our values.
