**Unite Resourcing** has been retained by our client to source an Experienced Emergency Response Officer to support both their Underground and Surface operations. Reporting to the Emergency Response Coordinator, you will be involved in site-based Emergency Response, and Emergency Training - as well as additional duties that are associated with this. You will also be involved in assisting with the support and improvement of our client's Emergency Management System.
This is a Full time, Permanent Position on an 8:6 FIFO roster.
The role will
**entail**:
- Daily Emergency Response tasks as required
- Execution of Emergency Response Strategy
- Participation in the provision of Emergency Preparedness training to the Emergency Response Team, as well as recruitment
- Coverage for on-call Emergency Response Services
- Conduct workplace inspections as well as system audits
- Perform daily emergency response tasks and duties, as required.
- Execute the Emergency response strategy including a tactical plan in line with the site strategy
- Assist in investigations requiring emergency response support and assistance
- Help identify ER solutions whilst deploying operational and strategic objectives in the most cost-effective manner
- Contribute to the provision of essential Emergency Service functions and equipment serviceability and participate in the provision of emergency preparedness training to Incident and Crisis Management Team members
- Participate in the provision of emergency preparedness training to the Emergency Response Team including recruitment and development to facilitate our program
- Help provide coverage for on-call emergency response services to provide a proactive approach to Emergency response call outs
- Conduct workplace inspections and systems audits with regards to Emergency Management as per the site activity schedule and provide feedback and recommendations to the Site Leadership Team
- Advise and assist line management to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations and all other associated regulations, Codes of Practice, RRL policies, standards, guidelines, and management procedures
- Provide timely reports, including monthly data and information as required by the ER Coordinator.
**Tickets & Licenses**:
- Western Australian HR Driver's Licence
- Cert IV in Health Pre-Hospital Care (Ambulance)
- Cert III Mines Rescue
- Underground Search and Rescue Qualification (or equivalent)
- Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response & Rescue or Certificate III in Public Safety (Fire Fighting and Emergency Operations)
- Cert IV in Health Care (Ambulance) or above (Including as a minimum Rope rescue, Road Crash Rescue, Firefighting, Confined Space Rescue, Breathing Apparatus (Open Circuit), Hazchem)
- Certificate IV in WHS and/or Training and Assessment (Desirable)
To be successful in the role, you should be able to demonstrate the following
**attributes**:
- Microsoft Office Proficiency
- High level of computer literacy
The role will also require
**previous experience **in the following:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in mining
- Incident reporting experience (ICAM Proficient)
- Previous experience in emergency response and incident control/incident management
