We’re looking for a detail‑oriented and proactive Finance Officer to support our finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with both internal controls and external regulations. Reporting to the Transactional Services Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering finance functions across accounts, reconciliations, and month‑end reporting.
About The Position
In this position, you’ll be responsible for a wide range of financial tasks that ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations.
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Manage corporate credit card transactions with appropriate documentation and coding.
- Support both accounts payable and receivable processes, contribute to the billing cycle, generate invoices, and follow up on billing queries.
- Assist with journal entries, accruals, and other month‑end and year‑end financial tasks.
- Ensure compliance with financial controls and assist with audit preparation.
- Maintain orderly financial filing systems and support the implementation of system automation and efficiency initiatives.
Selection Criteria
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, keen eye for detail, and a genuine interest in continuous learning.
- Hands‑on experience in financial systems such as Xero, MYOB, or similar platforms; solid Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and tax compliance; experience with accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets, and preparing for Business Activity Statements (BAS).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments; confident working independently and as part of a team.
- At least three years’ experience in a similar role and a qualification in accounting, finance, or a related discipline; progress toward a CPA or CA designation will be highly regarded.
