Inglewood District Health Services Community and Allied Health Team are seeking an enthusiastic and capable Physiotherapist with an interest in rural health, to join our friendly and skilled multi-disciplinary team.
Inglewood & Districts Health Service (IDHS) is situated in the Shire of Loddon and provides services to more than 5,500 residents in the communities of Bridgewater, Inglewood, Korong Vale, Newbridge, Serpentine, Tarnagulla, Wedderburn and surrounding townships.
IDHS encompass urgent care, acute, allied health and residential aged care as well as providing outpatient and community services.
IDHS offers a diverse range of community and home care services including allied health, health promotion, chronic disease management, mental health & AOD counselling, social support, home and personal care and strength training programs.
Position Title: Allied Health Assistant Grade 2 or 3
Classification: Dependent on qualifications and experience
Salary range per hour: $ $33.28 (dependent upon grade & experience) + superannuation + generous salary packaging option

The Position
Come and join the IDHS Community and Allied Health Services team, with a well renowned supportive workplace culture and an opportunity to work alongside experienced Allied Health Professionals.
This role provides clinical and administrative support to Allied Health Professionals across all service areas of IDHS. The AHA will work closely with a range of different disciplines to work under direction and guidance in the delivery of therapy, equipment and completion of administrative tasks. This may include assistance with the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs, Falls & Balance groups and Hip & Knee groups. The AHA may also provide assistance with exercise groups in the residential and aged care facility, and assist with home visits as required.
As an integral part of the Community and Allied Health Team, the AHA will contribute to the overall performance of the team consistent with IDHS's mission and values.
Our multidisciplinary team includes Exercise Physiology, Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Mental Health Services, Chronic Disease Management, Outpatient Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, Diabetes Education and Speech Pathology services.
About you – Essential criteria
* Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
* Minimum certificate III in fitness (certificate IV preferred)
* Current Victorian Drivers Licence
* High levels of interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
* Competent ability to work autonomously and show initiative
* Ability to maintain professional boundaries and seek advice from others when appropriate
* Ability to follow instructions from other team members including following through with agreed tasks and to report the outcomes
* Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
* Moderate to high level computer literacy including experience in Microsoft Office programs
* Previous experience in implementing therapy in a group or individual sessions
