Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Garden Maintenance Team Leader to oversee the upkeep of our outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership abilities, as well as a deep understanding of horticultural practices and procedures.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Leading and directing a team of maintenance staff to ensure tasks are completed efficiently
- Creating and implementing schedules to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion of garden maintenance activities, including planting, hedging, weeding, pruning and fertilising.
- Providing guidance, mentorship, and training to the team to enhance their horticultural skills and safety practices.
- Regularly inspecting garden areas to assess their condition, identify improvements needed, and implement corrective actions.
- Interacting with clients to understand their preferences, address concerns, and provide updates on maintenance activities.
To be successful in this position, applicants should possess:
- A Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens
- A Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain
- A White Card
- A Valid Drivers' license
- Excellent communication skills
