About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Science Teacher (Chemistry or Physics) to become a valuable addition to the team at St Johns College Dubbo. The teacher in a Secondary Catholic School is someone who can collaboratively develop and implement quality curriculum programs relevant to the science curriculum while creating a nurturing and organised learning environment for their students.
We are seeking a Teacher who understands and commits to supporting the mission and ethos of Catholic education within the school by:
Creating a learner-centred supportive and cooperative learning environment aligned with curriculum policies
Developing and implementing quality curriculum programs using effective teaching methods; assess and report student progress
Using inclusive teaching strategies and adapt practices for equitable education
Analysing student assessment data to identify learning barriers and encourage improvement
Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance student outcomes
Collaborating with school leadership staff and contribute to school life
Providing student supervision and assist in organising extracurricular activities

About You
We are looking for someone who can address the following criteria:
Relevant tertiary qualifications and current NESA accreditation
Experience in teaching Science across various year levels
Ability to teach Chemistry and / or Physics
Appropriate tertiary qualifications and accreditation to teach in NSW
Ability to teach Science across Stages 4-6
Strong classroom management skills creating a positive learning environment
Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
Experience using technology to inform track and report student learning
Deliver outstanding educational services by tailoring your lessons creatively to meet each students needs.
Design programmes and strategies to address the educational needs of our students.
Expertise in managing student behaviour in a way that supports learning
Commitment to the development of a self-improving school culture
Understanding and commitment to the ideals of Catholic education
Passion for delivering high-quality engaging lessons tailored to diverse learners
