**Responsibilities**
Assist with the clean and welcoming presentation of the cat adoption centre, which involves some bending and physical tasks.
Help maintain a calm, reassuring environment through cuddling, grooming, soothing, and settling catsespecially before they meet prospective adopters.
Follow strict procedures and staff guidance, demonstrating respect for the centers standards and animal welfare guidelines.
Contribute to a supportive and positive environment as part of our dedicated Cat Team.
**Physical Capabilities Required**
Moderate level of physical fitness, including the ability to lift up to 15kg.
Ability to bend, move frequently, and be on your feet for most of the shift.
Strong manual dexterity and the ability to manage multiple items at once.
Ability to walk unaided on uneven surfaces, grass, stairs, and occasionally slippery or muddy pathways.
Clear vision to observe animal body language and identify hazards.
Hearing ability to detect signs of distress or early warning sounds from cats.
Capable of managing unexpected animal behaviour in a calm, confident manner.
Comfortable around strong smells and getting a bit dirty.
Must not have unmanaged allergies to cats, dogs, or cleaning/grooming products.
