Our State Government partner is seeking an AO5 Project Officer (Major Projects) to join their team in Brisbane. This role supports the management of a diverse building and residential portfolio, including offices, government residences, convention centres, heritage sites, bridges, and other assets.
Reporting to the Principal Project Manager, you will assist in delivering capital works and refurbishment projects, supporting multi-disciplinary teams across asset maintenance, facility operations, and contract management.
Key responsibilities:
* Provide project and administrative support to ensure timely delivery of capital works.
* Assist with project coordination, risk management, and monitoring project progress.
* Prepare project documentation, financial approvals, and track expenditure.
* Support contract and service agreement administration.
* Coordinate with agencies, stakeholders, and industry partners to achieve outcomes.
* Contribute to risk management, audit, and asset management initiatives.
Skills & experience:
* Experience supporting capital works projects and project coordination.
* Financial administration skills, including budgeting, expenditure tracking, and contract support.
* Strong written communication and reporting skills.
* Proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to improve processes and outcomes.
