Position: Scientist – Molecular Epigenetics Project (2‐year fixed‐term, full‐time) based in the College of Health at the North Terrace. The role involves collaborating with experts in the Adelaide biomedical precinct to investigate how epigenetic features regulate the genome through transcription factors and cofactors on chromatin.
Responsibilities: Directly dissect the molecular features of transcription factors and cofactors that enable chromatin specificity, applying advanced genomics and proteomics techniques to gain deep insights into fundamental molecular events.
Qualifications
* PhD in genomics, biochemistry, stem cell biology, or a related field
* Extensive knowledge of tissue culture techniques
* Proven experience in functional genomics or structural biology
* A solid track record of academic success
* Demonstrated ability to guide and oversee postgraduate students and research support staff
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate across disciplines and collaborate with industry
