Our client seeks an experienced Network Engineer to join the team managing and supporting multiple sites (300+) across multiple business domains. You will manage all Network Infrastructure and oversee multiple vendors and third‑party suppliers from design through system maintenance. You will play a key role in safeguarding all data across the business to protect from unauthorised access. You will be the go‑to person for the team for evaluation, configuration, implementation and support of all hardware and software technologies across the Network and Security Infrastructure, including enterprise firewalls. You will work across multiple technology platforms and consistently engage with new and emerging technology stacks.
Responsibilities
* Drive the implementation and maintenance of end‑to‑end Network Systems.
* Provide in‑depth technical advice and expertise across all Network & Firewall related technologies (Palo Alto/Fortinet/Checkpoint/ASA), switches and access points.
* Build and test effective DR plans to manage all business systems including maintenance of procedures.
* Design firewall architecture for new projects across data centres and cloud integrations (AWS/Azure/GCP).
* Provide input into Network upgrades, migrations and security assessments.
Experience required
* Minimum of 5 years' experience managing medium‑large scale network and security environments, including administration, integration and deployment. Strong background in network firewall solutions – Checkpoint, ASA, Fortinet.
* Experience in SD‑WAN – Cisco, Meraki.
* Scripting and automation skills, Meraki API/Python and Ansible.
* Strong background in Cisco LAN/WAN, OSPF & BGP routing, wireless, DNS/DHCP and load balancers.
* Network security – Zscaler Internet access/client connector, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, MS Azure knowledge, exposure to Zero Trust architecture and solutions (Zscaler and Cloudflare).
* Cisco certification highly desirable.
