Role Overview
We are hiring a Solicitor to handle a range of corporate and property law matters. This is a casual position with flexible hours, offering the potential to transition to full-time employment as the company grows. Last-year students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply – this is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expertise in corporate law, including compliance and advisory services.
* Draft, review, and manage contracts and agreements with contractors, suppliers, and other parties.
* Oversee contracts administration to ensure smooth execution and adherence.
* Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) on Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB) approvals for land acquisitions.
* Engage with Revenue NSW regarding foreign purchaser surcharge exemptions, land tax, and other property-related matters.
* Conduct due diligence for land acquisitions, including inquiries with interested parties, government agencies, and stakeholders.
* Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on customs clearance, imports of construction materials, and certification processes.
* Handle any other ad-hoc tasks and duties as required to support the team's objectives.
Qualifications and Skills
* Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Property Law, Corporate Law, or a related field.
* Strong understanding of Australian corporate and property law frameworks.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills for liaising with government bodies and stakeholders.
* Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
* Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and contract management.
* Admission to practice as a solicitor in New South Wales (or eligibility to obtain it) is preferred but not essential for entry-level candidates.
Last-year law students and fresh graduates are welcome – we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
