About the Role
At Team Global Express, we're powering the movement of Australia, connecting people, businesses, and communities every day. Now, we're looking for a commercially driven Commercial Manager – Road & Linehaul to help shape the future of our Parcels network. This is a high-impact, strategic role at the heart of one of the most complex and critical parts of our operations. You'll partner with senior leaders across our Road Metro and Linehaul networks, bringing sharp financial insight and commercial thinking to drive performance, optimise cost, and unlock new opportunities.
What You'll Do
* Partner with operational leaders to drive financial performance and efficiency across Road Metro and Linehaul operations.
* Deliver deep insights into fleet utilisation, linehaul efficiency, depot productivity and network cost performance.
* Lead forecasting, budgeting and performance review processes across a complex, multi-site portfolio.
* Develop robust financial models, business cases and scenario analyses to support strategic planning and investment decisions.
* Analyse key operational drivers including route efficiency, labour productivity and service performance.
* Identify risks, opportunities and cost optimisation initiatives across transport and network operations.
* Influence decision-making through clear, data-driven reporting and commercial insights.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Network Planning, Pricing and FP&A teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
* Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting and analytical capability.
What You'll Bring
* CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent) with strong experience in commercial or operational finance.
* Proven ability to partner with and influence senior stakeholders in complex, fast-paced environments.
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
* Experience in forecasting, budgeting, performance management and financial modelling.
* Deep understanding of operational drivers such as labour productivity, transport efficiency and cost optimisation.
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with tools like Power BI, TM1 or ERP systems.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence to challenge and influence outcomes.
* A proactive, adaptable mindset and a passion for continuous improvement and value creation.
