Eastern Brick & Block Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Bricklayer to join our construction team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out bricklaying and blocklaying work on residential and commercial construction projects, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, in accordance with Australian building codes, workplace health and safety regulations, and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Laying bricks, blocks and masonry materials according to drawings and specifications
* Mixing mortar and other construction materials
* Reading and interpreting construction plans and technical drawings
* Ensuring correct alignment, level and structural integrity of brickwork
* Repairing and maintaining existing brick and block structures where required
* Working safely at all times and complying with WHS requirements
* Collaborating with site supervisors and other trades on construction sites
* Maintaining tools, equipment and a clean work area
Skills and Experience Required:
* Proven experience as a Bricklayer in the construction industry
* Strong understanding of masonry techniques and materials
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good attention to detail and workmanship quality
* Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures
* Driver's licence (preferred but not essential)
* Employment type: Full-time, Permanent
* Location: Melbourne (project-based construction sites)
