About the Role
As our Legal Secretary, you will play a key role in supporting our in-house legal and executive team. You'll assist with preparing legal documents, managing contracts, coordinating compliance tasks, and ensuring efficient daily legal operations.
Your work will contribute to maintaining compliance with Australian legislation, the National Quality Framework (NQF), Fair Work requirements, and internal organisational policies.
This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience working in a legal or corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, draft, and format legal documents, contracts, correspondence, and agreements
* Manage and maintain document registers, filing systems, and contract databases
* Coordinate legal workflows, track deadlines, and manage calendars for the legal team
* Assist with policy reviews, compliance documentation, and regulatory reporting
* Conduct basic legal research (Fair Work Act, workplace compliance, NQF/NQS)
* Support investigations, disputes, and general administrative tasks
* Liaise with internal teams, external legal advisors, and government bodies
* Maintain accurate records and ensure documents meet legal and regulatory standards
What We're Looking For
* Experience as a Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant, or similar legal administrative role
* Strong understanding of legal processes, documentation, and corporate compliance
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
* High-level communication and document preparation skills
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in legal and administrative work
* Proactive, professional, and able to work independently and collaboratively
* Experience within HR, education, or regulatory environments is advantageous
