About The Role
Are you a PROJECT ENGINEER who thrives working at the coal face overseeing site construction activity? In this role as PROJECT ENGINEER, you will be working FIFO 2/1 ex-Perth to a large WA minesite infrastructure project for a global miner. You will be supporting the delivery of a large bulk earthworks scope of works so it is essential that you have previously fulfilled a similar role for civil contractors in the unique Pilbara "Pindan" soil. The purpose of the PROJECT ENGINEER will be to facilitate the smooth running of the project by providing support to the site management team by answering technical queries, input to programming & scheduling, coordinating procurement, subcontractor management, progress reporting, cost management, monitoring and reporting on progress, and HSEQ compliance. This PROJECT ENGINEER role will suit a candidate who has around 4-5 years previous FIFO experience in WA on minesite civil infrastructure projects (*including bulk earthworks) while employed by civil contractors. On offer will be a terrific remuneration package CIRCA $140-145K Base + Super (+40% site uplift) = $200-220K Package This will be based on your existing level of experience (4-6 years preferably).
Skills, Experience, Qualifications And Other Requirements
Minimum Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
Approximately 4+ years' of site construction experience as PROJECT ENGINEER on BULK EARTHWORKS projects for civil contractors in Western Australia
Experience on BULK EARTHWORKS projects on mine site infrastructure or industrial developments in WA is essential (ie. site preparation, embankments, rail formation, haul/access roads, TSF construction)
Previous exposure working on FIFO basis preferred
Strong communication skills and ability to lead others
IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE (or at 4 weeks notice maximum) with existing rights to work in Australia
Clean WA C Class Drivers Licence
